Sam joined Brady Ware as partner in January 2006. He leads the firm’s Dealership Services team, working with dealerships to decrease their tax burden, maximize tax benefits, streamline processes and financial reporting, increase profits, prevent fraud, and expand operations to new markets. He links these services with overall tax, audit, and strategic planning initiatives to help his clients realize financial rewards across their businesses.
Sam is a member of The American Institute and The Ohio Society of CPAs, Construction Financial Management Association, and Builder’s Exchange of Central Ohio. He participates in various roles with several charitable and philanthropic organizations in Central Ohio, including Capital Square Rotary and March of Dimes.
Brett Coker, Fixed Operations Consultant, has over 40 years of successful retail dealership and consulting experience in all areas of dealership operation. He has served as service manager, sales manager, F&I manager, general sales manager, and general manager with both domestic and import franchises such as Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi, Mazda, GMC, Cadillac, and Buick. Brett developed and implemented numerous consulting and training programs for Jaguar, Buick, Cadillac, Hyundai, and Saturn, as well as consulting services for hundreds of dealerships in the U.S. and Canada. He has performed innumerable workshops, seminars, 20-group meetings and wrote and co-starred in a series of broadcasts for ASTN. He also hired, trained, and managed over 30 fixed-operation consultants.
Brett attended Wake Forest University, has CMC accreditation with the Institute of Management Consultants, attended the NADA Dealer Candidate Academy, and is a certified “Train the Trainer” with General Motors.
Brian manages a variety of tax and accounting engagements for the firm’s Columbus, Ohio, business clients in numerous industries, including construction, auto dealerships, and professional services.
Brian joined Brady Ware in October 2011, and he has over five years of experience in federal tax, multi-state corporate income and franchise tax, and municipal income tax. In addition to his tax compliance background, Brian works on various consulting engagements for his clients – ranging from monthly QuickBooks checkup and accounting services to cash flow analysis and business valuation.
He is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Terry Dismore has worked in management and consulting for many years. Starting with broadcast consulting, fundraising, and process consulting, he joined Brady Ware Dealership Advisors in 2018. His main focus today is in helping dealers sell more vehicles, make more margin on what they have sold, and avoid costly charge backs. His goal is to help dealerships better understand incentives, regulatory compliance, and efficient operations.
He and his wife of 34 years, Renné (Nay) make their home in Columbus, Ohio and are active at Faith Life Church.
Randy works on a variety of accounting, auditing, and consulting engagements, as well as corporate and individual tax areas. He provides services to closely held businesses in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, dealerships, retail, distribution, professional services, transportation, and real estate. He also leads the firm’s fraud services practice and assists with recruiting and training of new team members and serves as the head of the firm’s assurance services group technology committee.
Randy is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He also serves as chair for the Better Business Bureau’s Eclipse Integrity Awards committee and is active with the Dayton Chamber of Commerce and the Miami Valley Venture Association.
Randy is a 1994 graduate of Wright State University. After working three years with another regional accounting firm in Dayton, Randy joined Brady Ware in July of 1997.
Nick works on a variety of engagements, including business and personal tax preparation and planning. He also is a member of the Brady Ware’s Dealership Advisors group, providing specialized consulting knowledge to the auto industry.
Nick joined the firm in 2009 and is a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs and the AICPA.
Sean has worked as a CPA for 30 years, spending his first 15 years with a local firm, then serving as CFO for two of Columbus’ largest automotive groups. After more than a decade within dealerships, he returned to independently serving auto industry clients before merging his practice into Brady Ware.
Sean joined Brady Ware Dealership Advisors as a director in March 2019. He has more than 30 years of financial, taxation, and consulting experience in the automotive industry.
Sean is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Sean was the winner of Columbus Business First CFO of the Year in 2010.
Karla joined Brady Ware Dealership Advisors in November 2018. She is the Dealership Accounting Consultant, working with dealerships to enhance the performance of their current accounting department.
Karla has over 8 years of accounting experience; 3 of those years are in the Dealership Automotive Industry, where she held roles such as Senior Accountant and Corporate Controller. She has worked with multi-company dealerships and has acquired experience working with Dealership Management Systems such as CDK Global and DealerTrack. Throughout the years, Karla has worked in numerous of industries but mostly enjoys working along side dealership controllers/CFOs and owners to improve their accounting processes and controls.
Terry Schwer is Brady Ware Dealership Advisors’ Dealership Operations Consultant. With over 25 years of automotive retail experience, Terry is an effective leader in the automotive industry. He has held positions in sales, sales management, F&I management, and operations director for a multi-store group, making him well versed in all areas of today’s dealerships. As a proven innovator, Terry emphasizes a strong focus on the development of people and processes that will propel your dealership to the next level. A major component of his role is dedicated to helping dealers and their employees build on their steady foundations, the staple of success for all automotive dealers.
Terry is a graduate of Chryslers’ Sons & Daughters Dealer Academy and completed classes through Northwood University. He remains on top of developing trends in the industry by attending manufacturer meetings, trade shows, and industry conferences.
Mike was raised in a family-owned business, worked as a controller for a local manufacturing company, and as an auditor for a national accounting firm before joining the firm in 1989 and becoming a Director in 1998. He assists clients in developing strategies for organizing, operating, and selling their businesses. His goal is to help his clients earn more from their business and to keep more of what they earn.
With extensive experience with corporate, partnership, and individual taxation, he serves many closely held business clients. He has developed a special expertise in business valuations and earned his ABV (Accredited Business Valuation) accreditation from the AICPA in 1999. He leads the firm’s Business Valuation Services team.
Mike is a member of The American Institute of CPAs and The Ohio Society of CPAs. He is also a member of the Dayton Association of Tax Professionals, and the Oakwood Rotary Club.
Justin Ward, Dealership Digital Consultant, has worked in dealerships large and small. He has several years of digital marketing research and sales experience, along with his five years managing a franchise dealership. Justin also specializes as a consultant with dealerships to optimize their finance and insurance department.
Tom joined Brady Ware in 2010, after spending over 11 years with two regional public accounting firms.
He has experience in audit, review, and compilation services, as well as a wide range of corporate, accounting, and other general business consulting. Tom has also served as a Controller with duties that included payroll, employee benefits administration, accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales tax, and daily bank reconciliations.
Tom is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of CPAs.
Tony’s automotive career began in 1986 with Ford Motor Company. As a Regional Manager for Ford’s Dealer Development Program he gained expertise in financial statement analysis, daily dealership operations, business planning, forecasting, personnel, and other dealership-related activities.
During his tenure, Tony negotiated the acquisition and sale of over 100 dealerships and was the CFO for the Rochester Auto Collection for two years. He managed the consolidation of seven dealerships into one centralized accounting office.
After 30 years, Tony retired from Ford and began a consulting company concentrating on buy/sell related activities, including brokering, bill of sale preparation, and appointment package preparation.
